My principal place of residence is in the Ngā Hau e Whā Māori Constituency area.

E mihi ana ki te Atua, ki Te Arikinui Kuīni Ngā wai hono i te pō, ki ngā mate o te wā, ki a koutou katoa. Tēnā koutou.

It’s exciting to stand for the Ngā Hau E Whā Constituency in these local body elections.

I bring a kete of skills that will be helpful as a Regional Councillor. These include:

Other News and Biography Details

Maxine Moana-Tuwhangai was awarded a New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2018 New Year’s Honours List for services to governance and Māori.


She was appointed to the Hato Hone St John Priory Board in October 2020.

Waikato Regional Council Ngā Hau E Whā constituency candidate Maxine Moana-Tuwhangai has died and her tangi was held at Kāwhia’s Mōkai Kāinga Marae last week. She was taken to Kaipāpaka urupā to lay with her whānau.
