Frankie Karetai Wood-Bodley

My principal place of residence is in the North Canterbury/Ōpukepuke Constituency area.

Frankie brings 17 years’ experience in local and central government operations, law, and policy, alongside 20 years of governance experience across local government, not-for-profits, and charitable organisations.

Frankie is committed to supporting communities, protecting the environment, and ensuring rural voices are included in regional decision-making. They believe in transparent, practical leadership that works in genuine partnership with mana whenua and reflects the needs of local people.

With experience across local and central government, identity and information sharing, as well as the health and disability sectors, Frankie understands how to navigate complex systems and bring people together across different areas to deliver meaningful and long-lasting results.

Frankie is running to help build a region that works for everyone - grounded in whānau, community, and partnership with mana whenua, and focused on outcomes and future generations.
