My principal place of residence is in the Christchurch South/Ōwhanga Constituency area.

For the last two summers, my kids have not been able to go swimming near our home, as a sign at the beach says the water quality is unsuitable. I grew up in Lyttelton. I swam here, fished off jetties, and went tramping with my mates around the crater rim. When living in Diamond Harbour, I had the pleasure of being its representative on the Banks Peninsula Community Board. Over the hill, my youngest attends school in Opawa, and my eldest went to Cashmere High. The Christchurch South/Ōwhanga area has given me a wonderful gift: a love for its beauty and an environment I can raise a family in. I don't want to just be nostalgic about my idyllic childhood, but to cooperate with those who cherish our common home, so all kids, young and old, can continue to be blessed by the wonder we live in.
