My principal place of residence is not in the Christchurch Central/Ōhoko Constituency area.
Environment Canterbury must prioritise issues that matter most to our region: clean, accessible water, reliable and efficient public transport, and strong, practical collaboration with local councils. In recent years, the council has shifted focus toward international matters and symbolic initiatives, losing sight of its core responsibilities. It is time to restore a clear focus on Canterbury’s needs.
A lifelong resident of Christchurch and an old boy of Christchurch Boys' High School, I am deeply committed to the future of our region. I hold a master’s degree in education endorsed in Leadership and teach Geography—an area that reflects my strong passion for the natural environment. I enjoy hunting, skiing, and making the most of Canterbury’s outdoors. I am also undertaking studies in He Tikanga Whakaaro through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa to enhance my ability to work in partnership with local iwi and support more inclusive, culturally responsive regional decision-making.
