Candidate statement on official Hutt City Council site: "Kia ora, Neih hou and Greetings, Born and raised in the Hutt to Chinese parents, I'm a Chiwi (Chinese-Kiwi) who is deeply passionate about this place and its people. I have served three terms on the Petone Community Board and am currently the deputy chair.

I have a background in youth and community development, retail and not-for-profit sectors. I’m invested in the wider community through a school breakfast club, coordinating the Waiwhetū Fruit and Vege Co-op, and volunteering at the local Koha Café.

I have almost two decades of experience in various levels of governance through the church, local government, and other community organisations.

I currently work in hospitality and community sectors. I'm passionate about social justice and environmental issues; and love seeing people, places and systems come together and thrive. I want to enable people to be heard, empowered and connected to all Hutt City has to offer."
