Jonathon Gilbert

My principal place of residence is not in the Hutt City Council area.

I am a security and technology professional. I lived in Lower Hutt between 2003 and 2020.

Since then, I have been travelling to the Hutt from Kapiti every weekday. I share my time between running my internet company and as a trustee of the Security Noticeboard Charitable Trust.

For the past 7.5 years I have been working with victims of crime in the Hutt Valley community and managing the Hutt Valley security noticeboard (34,500+ members).

I am a renter, a family man and I enjoy working with my hands.

My interest within council is to encourage and promote community co-operation, with a focus on criminal activity. I will also endeavour to find opportunities to reduce council spending and avoid subsequent rate increases.

I have no political association but am affiliated with The Security Noticeboard.
