Tane Apanui

Party The blue collar councillor
Official Candidate Biography

My principal place of residence is in the North Canterbury/Ōpukepuke Constituency area.

Former Canterbury Regional Councillor. Current FIFO worker in the WA mines.

I’ll fight city-centric decisions driven by consultants - and the rate hikes they bring.

Let's use rail to reconnect Amberley, Rangiora, and Kaiapoi to southern towns - using the tracks we already have.

No need for a multi-billion dollar Mass Rapid Transit that’ll tear up roads and miss most of the region.

Rail keeps roads safer and air cleaner. Fund rural roads properly.

Back local work groups, cut the red tape and let communities get things done.

Vote for me to put a blue-collar worker back at the table.
