Official Candidate Biography

My principal place of residence is not in the Christchurch West/Ōpuna Constituency area.

I’m ready to devote my life’s experience towards elevating Canterbury’s unique potential. I’ve protected and restored landscapes connecting to our people across Ōpuna District (the springs) - feeding the river I live beside. Ngā Puna Wai, Corfe Reserve, golf courses, McLeans Island/Orana Park and Ōtūkaikino all have my input. The CHCH-360-Trail, I conceived as NZ’s first urban great walk, spans Ōpuna electorate showcasing our amazing diversity.

Teaching environmental management, landscape design and regenerative farming interactively informs my vision and passion for many advisory roles. I encourage young leaders from around the world to bring vibrancy to our city and beyond. In 2021 I received the ONZM on behalf of many communities I work with - building our positive future together.

I commit to engaging this communal knowledge in regenerative agriculture, forestry and urban design for the benefit of all people, puna, plains and planet, promoting our province’s beauty and bounty.
