My principal place of residence is in the Christchurch North East/Ōrei Constituency area.
I am an experienced environmental campaigner and communicator, deeply connected to east Christchurch.
In 2011 I started the campaign to regenerate the red zone. I was a founding member of Avon Ōtākaro Network, founder of Greening the Red Zone, and a member of The Red Zones Transformative Land Use Consultative Group, advising LINZ and Christchurch City Council on temporary land uses.
For 8 years I’ve worked as a science communicator with environmental and agricultural scientists at Lincoln University. I’ve communicated research on climate change, nitrate pollution, sustainable agriculture, nature-based pest control, water quality, braided rivers and other issues vital to our region. I understand the science as a lay person and know the questions to ask.
On ECan I will focus on: environmental sustainability, including clean water; transport choices; and transparency.
We must act now to restore and protect our environment and water for future generations. www.Campbell4ECan.nz
