Wayne Brown kicked off the Grey Power North Shore mayoral debate with an ingratiating joke. “It’s good to be back again talking to a demographic in which I fit quite nicely,” he said, as he looked over the gold-card-toting crowd at the Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre. Auckland’s mayor spent the next 30 minutes pissing off as many of his peers as possible.
