Harper is the chief executive of Precycle NZ, a company specialising in waste diversion and innovative recycling options, which won an Innovate Award in 2022 and has been supported in its research work by the Earle Creativity and Development Trust. He is a previous chairman of the business group Manawatū Young Chamber."
