Welcome to the first edition of TOP’s new monthly newsletter, TOP Stories, where we share the latest updates, wins, and ways to get involved. Whether you’re a long-time supporter or just getting to know us, we’re glad you’re on the journey with us.

Citizen Voice: Hitting the Streets

Over the past month, TOP volunteers have taken the Citizen Voice campaign from paper to pavement. Whether delivering flyers, chatting with people at market stalls, or knocking on doors, our team has been out sharing a new vision for how politics can work. The response has been energising. People are ready for a future-focused approach and keen to be part of something more democratic, more respectful, and more effective. If you want to be part of the momentum, now is the perfect time to get involved. Join us as a volunteer and help take Citizen Voice even further.

Standing Up for Better Lawmaking

TOP recently made a submission opposing the Regulatory Standards Bill, which threatens to entrench narrow economic thinking and weaken democratic accountability. Representing TOP, party member Cail Smith delivered a sharp, principled argument in front of the select committee, pushing back on a proposal that would prioritise ideology over evidence and fairness. Cail spoke with clarity and conviction, earning praise from observers and reinforcing TOP’s commitment to smarter, more inclusive policymaking. We’re proud to have members like Cail helping lead the charge.

Building a Bold Team

Our Candidates College is off to a fantastic start. This inspiring group of TOP members is developing the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to become outstanding candidates. Just as importantly, they’re supporting one another and helping build a strong, connected team ready to take TOP’s message to communities across the country. Every member of TOP is welcome to join. You don’t need to be sure you want to be a candidate yet. The College is a place to explore, learn, and see if candidacy might be right for you. If you're curious, we’d love to hear from you.
