About Me - I love this place!

Thames has been my home for 40 years – I’m passionate about the wellbeing of our community. I’ve raised my family here and participated in a wide range of activities including environmental, sport and recreation, education, music, the arts, heritage and business. I’m the current owner of Carson’s Bookshop and I’m well connected to the community.

I’m experienced in community governance – I’m proud to have served on the governance boards of Thames South School, The Coromandel Heritage Trust, Thames Music Club, and was a founding board member of the Thames Business Association. I've gained strong governance and business experience alongside a real understanding of what makes Thames tick.

I’m no stranger to local government – I've worked within Council in various management roles from operations right through to the senior leadership team. I've served as Councils Parks Manager, and later Operations Manager. I managed three of the four major infrastructure service contracts. As Thames Area Manager I was the advisor to the Thames Community Board whilst leading the delivery of key local projects such as Jack McLean Recreation Centre, Thames Skate Park, and relocation of the Thames Information Centre.

“I know how the system works, how navigate it, and how get things done.”

I'm standing for Council because I want to use my skills, knowledge and experience to deliver positive, practical outcomes and ensure the decisions we make truly reflect the needs and values of our community.
